Haydn Povey, CEO and founder of Secure Thingz commented “Security is a critical component for all connected devices and has become the main concern for the embedded industry focused on accelerating IoT adoption. Furthermore significant global legislative frameworks for security are emerging, with the California State requirements due to come into effect 1st January 2020, hence the time to act is now. The impact of these growing challenges means the embedded industry needs to rapidly transition to a “security first” design methodology. The IoTSF, Secure Thingz and IAR Systems all share a goal of aiding that transition.”

The IoTSF Conference will feature 40+ speakers over the ‘big picture’ plenary sessions and four breakout tracks. In the plenary sessions, we will be exploring markets, policy, regulation, assurance, standards and certification as all stakeholders work together on the security agenda. Within the four breakout tracks, we will be illuminating industry challenges with the security by design, applied security, resilience and training tracks.

Secure Thingz CSO Dr. Stephan Spitz &  Product Manager Clive Watts will be presenting a talk on why a robust device identity is necessary for accountability, counterfeit and cloning protection on the security by design breakout track, find out more here
